–The Lakota based chapter of Hunting with Heroes is gearing up for their drive through event on Tuesday that will provide a free Thanksgiving meal for any area veteran or widow of a veteran. Spokesperson Bernie Becker tells KLGA News the box has everything needed for the upcoming holiday.
Along with all the food, Becker says the event has become a tremendous show of support to those who served.
The drive through event provides these meals to any veteran or a widow of a veteran.
Becker says the drive through line moves one way through the center of Lakota.
While the lines may be long at times, Becker says they move quickly.
The drive through event will run from 3-6 PM Tuesday in Lakota with all veterans and widows of veterans encouraged to attend. Amongst the volunteers passing out the meals will be the wounded veterans who have been taking part in the annual pheasant hunt over the last week.
