–Members of the Kossuth Childcare Coalition will host some informational meetings on Wednesday in downtown Algona. The coalition is currently raising funds to assist local daycare providers and make more childcare spots available for working families in Kossuth County. Coalition spokesperson Joanne Roepke Bode tells KLGA News they will hold these meetings at 3 different times to accommodate everyone’s busy schedule.
The coalition is looking to raise $200,000 to establish the Kossuth Childcare Solutions Fund, which will be administered through the Kossuth County Community Foundation. These funds will be available to area daycares to enhance employee wages, make quality improvements, and upgrade facilities.
Roepke Bode says they will keep the meetings as brief as possible.
The meetings will be held at the Chamber of Commerce office in downtown Algona Wednesday at 7:30 AM, 12 PM and 5 PM.
