–Bishop Garrigan Schools announced the start of a capital campaign Monday with plans to make major upgrades at their main building and the Seton campus. Garrigan President Christy Peterson spoke with KLGA News Monday, the first day of Catholic Schools Week, and says they have four separate phases planned for the $9 Million campaign.
The Seton renovation will expand the current building to the south.
The Seton upgrades are part of the campaign’s first phase, along with a renovation to Conway Field. Peterson says the bleachers are aging and becoming a safety issue for spectators.

Peterson says they will have to have a significant amount of money pledged before any work can begin.

If they can secure the funding in time for work to begin this summer, Peterson anticipates the work at Seton would be completed in time for the 2027-2028 school year. The second phase of the campaign is to add parking near the school’s chapel and upgrade restrooms, while the 3rd phase would include improvements to the weight room. The final phase would be to build a new bus barn at the corner of Finn and Poplar Streets.
