–A Palo Alto County man with nearly 20 outstanding arrest warrants was taken into custody over the weekend following a traffic stop south of Graettinger.
According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted a traffic stop along River Road, nearly 3 miles south of Graettinger, just before 9 PM on Saturday, February 14th. After conducting a brief investigation, Deputies identified the driver as 55-year-old Shawn Pattison of Graettinger.
After identifying Pattison, Deputies learned he had 18 different warrants for his arrest in Palo Alto County and took him into custody. Pattison was wanted on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance-3rd Offense, six counts of Illegal Possession of Prescription drugs, along with multiple moving violations and missed court dates. Pattison was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance and was held on a $23,000 cash bond.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 41-year-old Nicole Peterson of Graettinger, was also taken into custody on charges of being an accessory after the fact, an aggravated misdemeanor.
