–One of the three Democrats seeking their party’s nomination in Iowa’s 4th Congressional District will hold an event in Algona this weekend as part of a final push prior to next week’s primary election. Former State Representative Dave Dawson of Lawton will stop in Algona Sunday afternoon as he blitzes the district before voter’s head to the polls on Tuesday.
Dawson will kick off the tour tonight with an event in Onawa, before making four stops on Saturday and three more on Sunday, including the one in Algona.
The former two-term state legislator says he’s heard a variety of concerns from residents while making his stops across the district.
Dawson is facing off with Ashley WolfTornabane of Storm Lake and Stephanie Steiner of Sutherland in the Democratic party primary. He will be in Algona on Sunday for an event at Call City Park (100 W. North Street) beginning at 3 PM before wrapping up his tour with 4 events on Monday and one final event on election day.
