–Over 70 contestants braved the cool temperatures and light rain to take part in the 2026 Kossuth County Fair Pageant Tuesday evening, with a soon-to-be-Senior at Algona High School named Fair Queen. Charli Dodds was selected from the field of 4 candidates to serve as this year’s Fair Queen, something she says came as a complete surprise.
While participating in the Kossuth County Fair is nothing new for Dodds, she says it’s been a while since she competed in the fair pageant.
Now that she’s been named Queen, Dodds says she’s looking forward to a fun week.
Speaking of Des Moines, Dodds says she’s looking forward to the experience.
