–An Algona man is facing domestic assault charges following an alleged incident last weekend.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to the report of a domestic disturbance in Whittemore just before 1 AM on Sunday, September 13th. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted a brief investigation and arrested 28-year-old Yoni Angulo Antonio on charges of Domestic Abuse Assault-1st offense.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court states that Angulo Antonio became physical with the mother of his child while she was holding the baby.
Angulo Antonio was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. A non-jury trial has been scheduled for November 20th in this case.
Court records also show that Antonio Angulo will be sentenced in October in an assault case stemming from an incident at a Whittemore bar in April of 2025.
