–The Bear Care Childcare Center located inside Bishop Garrigan’s Seton building is looking for a little help with their after-school program. Garrigan President Christy Peterson says the continue to see a high demand for childcare from area residents, and for the most part, their staffing levels remain steady.

During the summer months, many of the staff members who work with this age group are high school or college students who are now back in class and unable to work. Peterson says the after school program is something they want to continue during the school year, but they need a few more workers at this point.

Peterson says they need a few people that can keep up with kids that like to be active.

If you have time in the afternoon and are interested in applying, Peterson says it’s a simple process.

If you are interested in applying, you can call the Seton building at 515-295-3509. You can also contact the Bear Care Directors, Nelle Fowler and Sara Casey through email by sending a message to [email protected] or [email protected]. Peterson says if they can find a couple of workers to fill those shifts, they can keep the after school program going throughout the year.
