Cylinder Man Facing Multiple Felony Charges Following Pair of Arrests

–A Cylinder man is facing multiple felony charges after being arrested twice over the last two weeks in connection to an ongoing investigation by law enforcement officials in Palo Alto County.

According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies executed a search warrant at 113 Main Street in Cylinder around 10 PM on Thursday, February 26th. Following the search, Deputies arrested 37-year-old Grant Waldschmidt on charges of Possession of Stole Property and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, both simple misdemeanors. He was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance.

Then, on Friday, March 6th, Deputies arrested Waldschmidt again, this time on valid warrants for 3rd Degree Burglary and Conspiracy to Commit a Non-Forcible Felony, both of which are Class D Felonies.

Once again, Waldschmidt was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Online court records show he is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Palo Alto County District Court for the felony counts on Tuesday, March 17th.
