–Iowa Public Television’s “Road Trip Iowa” program kicked off their 3rd season this month by featuring a number of attractions along US Highway 18 through Kossuth, Hancock, and Cerro Gordo counties. Dan Bolsem serves as a Producer and Director on “Road Trip Iowa”, and he tells KLGA News the show is a great chance for viewers to learn what they may be missing in different parts of the state.

Four producers work on “Road Trip Iowa” covering a few of the attractions highlighted in each episode. During the Highway 18 episode, Bolsem says he conducted interviews at a pair of locations, including the Camp Algona POW Museum.

Bolsem also had a chance to visit the Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend.

The Highway 18 episode also featured the National Hobo Museum in Britt, the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, and the Northwest Steakhouse in Mason City, amongst others. All of the footage used on Road Trip Iowa is filmed over the summer months.
