–Bishop Garrigan Schools held a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday evening at their Seton building where a remodeling project will add needed classroom space. Bishop Garrigan President Christy Peterson says the improvements are part of an ambitious capital campaign that was launched earlier this year.
While recent graduating classes at Bishop Garrigan have averaged between 25-30 students, Peterson says they are seeing higher numbers in their elementary classrooms.
Peterson says getting the word out about the early elementary programs at Garrigan has helped their numbers grow.
If work remains on schedule, the expanded building should be ready for the start of the 2027-2028 school year.

The Seton expansion is part of a $9 Million capital campaign that will see upgrades completed in four phases. Work has already begun at Conway Field, where new bleachers are being installed, along with a new press box. Other phases will include new bathrooms and a new weight room at the high school, along with a new bus barn. Peterson says they have now reached the half-way point of the campaign, with $4.5 Million in pledges as of this week.
