–The Bancroft 4th of July celebration has two full days of activities planned for all ages to enjoy on the nation’s 250th birthday. Laura Arndorfer is one of the event’s organizers, and she tells KLGA News they are hosting a pickleball tournament for the first time Friday afternoon.

There is still room for participants in the Kid’s Cookoff, which features divisions for kids aged 5-9, 10-13, and 14 & up.

Anyone who is still interested in participating can scan the QR code available on the Bancroft 4th of July Facebook page. Friday evening includes multiple events and more live entertainment.

Saturday’s events get going bright and early with the 5K/1 Mile color run.

Following the parade the American Legion BBQ meal will be served for a free will donation from 11:30-2PM in the park, with free beverages provided by Bancroft Municipal Utilities. Arndorfer says the fun will continue all through the afternoon up until the fireworks start around 10 PM.

A complete list of activities is available by finding Bancroft 4th of July on Facebook.
