–A Woden man is facing a felony sex abuse charge in Kossuth County after being taken into custody this week in connection to alleged incidents last August.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted a warrant check in Burt Tuesday afternoon and arrested 20-year-old Hunter Scott Brandt on charges of 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse, Class B Felony.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court alleges that Brandt met an underage girl in Bancroft and drove her to a gravel road out of town to have sex.
Brandt was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance and is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
He is scheduled to have a preliminary court hearing on August 3rd. A no contact order has also been issued to prevent Brandt from having any contact with the alleged victim in this case.
