–Algona High School will host the 3rd annual Mental Health Concert Thursday evening inside the Wilcox Performing Arts Center.
The concert was originally scheduled for March 9th, but had to be rescheduled due to the weather, and is intended raise awareness about mental health issues.
The concert will feature performances from 16 different AHS Students, along with a special performance from Emma Elsbecker, who helped to organize the very first Mental Health concert back in 2021.
This year’s event will also feature mental health professionals from over a dozen professional agencies. These professionals will be in the lobby before and after the concert, as attendees will have a chance to get a punch-card from these representatives. Students can get their card punched at each different table, as the more punches they collect, the better the chances of walking out with a prize.
The concert is set to begin at 6PM Thursday inside the Wilcox Performing Arts Center.
