–An effort to honor an Algona woman who unexpectedly passed away last summer will officially kick off this weekend with an event on Saturday. Organizer Kelly Tigges tells KLGA News that the open house event is a chance for the public to see how they hope to honor the memory their friend, Hilah Owen.
Tigges says they are hosting an open house/shower event Saturday from 1-4 PM.
The open house is being held at the Faith Church in Algona, which Tigges says will be the permanent home for Hilah’s Closet.
The open house/shower is a come-and-go style event at the Faith Church, which is located at 716 E. McGregor in Algona. If you would like to bring a donation to Hilah’s Closet Saturday, there is a list of suggested items on their Facebook page, along with contact information for the organization.
