–The Kossuth County Historical Society will host their own version of the Antique’s Road Show Tuesday night, giving area residents a chance to maybe find a hidden treasure that has been occupying space in their attic. Jan Ricke serves as the President of the Historical Society, and she says while their event is not related to the show in any way, they have fun with it just the same.
Ricke says there have been some interesting things brought in to be looked at over the years.
Ricke says you can bring your items in and stay for as much or as little of the event as you like.
The event begins at 6 PM Tuesday at the Historical Society building on S. Dodge Street in downtown Algona and is completely free and open to the public. Depending on how many items are brought in to be looked at by the experts, the event typically runs for a couple of hours. Each person is limited to bringing in 2 separate items.
