–Seasonal road work is beginning on some of the roads in northern Kossuth County, meaning area residents will need to allow extra time if they travel on certain roads.
According to the Kossuth County Engineer’s Office, Cold-in-Place recycling has begun on County Road A16 near the Minnesota border. The road is now closed and will be controlled with flaggers at the recycling operation for about 2 weeks.
In late May, resurfacing work will begin on a handful of county roads. The roads will be closed to through traffic and the work is expected to be completed in the following order:
*County Road A30 (460th Street)—between east Ledyard to HWY 169
*County Road P40 (120th Avenue)—between 470th Street and 500th Street
*County Road A16 (500th Street)—from the west county line to 80th Ave.
