–The Kossuth County Community Foundation will host two separate grant writing workshops in early September to assist the groups seeking funding in the upcoming application window. Shanda Hansen serves as the Director of Affiliate Impact for the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa and will lead the workshops.

Area non-profit groups or government agencies that assist residents in Kossuth County can submit applications for grant funding from September 1st to October 15th. Hansen says they will also go over some basic tips on how to write a better grant application.

The grant workshops will be able to assist new grant writers and those who have submitted requests for funding in the past.

The two workshops will be offered at different times during the day to try and accommodate as many people as possible.

The workshop in Bancroft on September 5th will run from 4-5:30 PM. Anyone who would like to attend the virtual workshop on September 11th will be sent a link once they have submitted an RSVP for the event, which can be done at www.cfneia.org/news/events/kossuth-workshops-24. The foundation handed out over $175,000 in grants to area groups in January and has awarded more than $3.4 Million to those who assist residents of Kossuth County since 2005.
