–A pair of Kossuth County men were among the four people injured in a two-vehicle crash in rural Wright County Tuesday morning.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2010 Ford Edge, driven by 17-year-old Cooper Reiland of Belmond, was eastbound on County Road C54 around 10:30 AM Tuesday.

As Reiland approached the intersection with County Road R33 5 miles east of Eagle Grove, he failed to stop and was struck by a southbound 2019 Freightliner, driven by 49-year-old Dan Oldencamp of Algona.

Each vehicle entered the east ditch and came to rest near a cornfield. Reiland and Oldenkamp, along with their passengers, identified as 16-year-old Armando Melendez of Clarion, and 39-year-old Clay Riedesel of Wesley, were all transported by Clarion EMS to Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion for treatment of injuries.

Each individual was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, which remains under investigation.
