–The Algona Police Department recently hired 2 new officers to bring the department back to full staffing levels. Police Chief Bo Miller recently introduced the new officers to the Algona City Council.
Miller says they are extremely fortunate to bring these two officers into the department, as they both have their state certification.
Miller says getting the department back to full staffing levels is something they have been working on for a few months.
Miller says that since both Strom and Littlejohn are certified, they are already working on the streets by themselves.
