–If you’re heading out this weekend to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and looking for some live entertainment, the Leadership Algona class is hosting a comedy show at the VFW Saturday evening. Kristy Allison is a member of the Leadership Class and helping to organize the event, which will feature comedians Nathan Timmel and Chris Schlichting.
Timmel is a Wisconsin native that has recorded six comedy albums and regularly performs at clubs across the country. Schlichting grew up in Iowa and is ready to bring his dry and witty comedy to Algona. Allison says they are looking forward to a lively performance.
Proceeds from the event will be put towards a couple of different service projects. Justin Oman is also part of the Leadership Class, and he says the main project that they are working on this year is to improve the Algona Dog Park.
Tickets are $15 and are available at the door, the Chamber office in downtown Algona or from any Leadership Class member. Doors open at 6PM and the show begins at 7PM. You can check out the performers at the links below.
