–A drug investigation in Kossuth County resulted in a pair of arrests over the weekend.

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies arrested 63-year-old Ronald Keith Pearson of Algona just before noon Saturday on a warrant for Intent to Deliver.

Just after 11 AM Sunday, Deputies arrested 42-year-old Michelle Lynn Gruver of Wesley on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court, the charges stem from an incident in June where Pearson allegedly sold Gruver prescription strength Hydrocodone. Following the sale, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Gruver and searched her vehicle, where the located the prescription drugs along with a bag containing illegal narcotics.

Court documents show that pills matching the one found in Gruver’s vehicle were found during a search of Pearson’s home in Algona on July 20th. The documents allege that Pearson had been selling Hydrocodone to Gruver for nearly 2 years.

Both defendants were booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
