–A Swea City man is facing multiple theft charges after being taken into custody over the weekend.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies located 54-year-old Jamie Concepcion Esparza Saturday afternoon and took him into custody on multiple outstanding arrest warrants on charges of failure to appear and 5th degree theft. A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court show the charges stem from an incident on August 13th.
While investigating the matter further, Deputies were able to find evidence to support new charges against Esparza, this time for 2nd Degree Burglary (Class C Felony) and 2nd Degree Theft (Class D Felony).
Online court records show Esparza is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on September 4th.
