–The Kossuth County Conservation Board is currently taking applications from anyone interested in securing a camp site for the entire summer on the north side of Smith Lake. Conservation Board Director Kendall Stumme tells KLGA News that these sites have everything one would need to spend the summer by the lake, and they always seem to get a handful of applications.
These fifteen seasonal sites are located on the northeast side of Smith Lake, and each site has water, electrical, and sewer hookups. Stumme says this is the only way to reserve anything on this side of the lake, as these spots can’t be booked through the www.mycountyparks.com website.
The cost to rent a campsite for the summer is $2,000.
