–A Minnesota woman wanted in Kossuth County for violating the terms of her probation was taken into custody earlier this week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies were able to transport 53-year-old Heidi Jo Suhl of Easton, Minnesota back to Algona Tuesday morning with assistance from law enforcement in Fairbault County, Minnesota.
Suhl was arrested in September of 2021 in Kossuth County on charges of Forgery, a Class D Felony after allegedly writing a check on another person’s bank account. Court records show proceedings drug on over three years, as Suhl failed to appear at a court hearing in January of 2023 and a bench warrant was issued for her arrest. She was eventually located in March of 2025, and ended up pleading guilty to the charges, for which she received a 5-year suspended prison sentence and 2-years of probation.
This February, Suhl’s probation was revoked for not staying in contact with her probation officer and not paying the fines and restitution that were imposed as part of her plea deal.
After being transported to Kossuth County, Suhl was booked into jail to await an initial court appearance.
