–The Algona Public Library has launched a program this week that will get kids outdoors while taking part in fun activities over the next month. Children’s Librarian Kate Wind says their Summer Outside Storytime series began on Monday.

The Monday story times are for children aged 0-5 while the Tuesday evening events are for families with kids of all ages.

Wind says each of the parks they will visit has an area where they can gather to read and hold their hands on activities.

A special Saturday morning session will be held this week at the Water’s Edge Nature Center, with the rest of the story times on Mondays and Tuesdays through June.

The Summer Outside Storytimes will also be held at South Park, Veteran’s Park and Call City Park. You can find the full schedule online at www.algonlibrary.org and find updates on the Algona Public Library’s Facebook page.
