Traffic Stop Leads to Charges Against Emmetsburg Woman

–A traffic stop in rural Palo Alto County Friday morning ended with an Emmetsburg woman facing multiple charges.

According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted a stop in the 4500 block of Iowa Highway 4, about 4 miles north of Mallard, around 4:40 AM Friday. As a result of the stop, Deputies arrested the driver, identified as 45-year-old Nichole Grey Li of Emmetsburg.

Li is facing charges of OWI-1^st offense and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)-1^st offense, both serious misdemeanors. She is also facing charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and having an Open Container in the Vehicle, both simple misdemeanors.

Li was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
