–A Swea City man who announced last summer he would seek a seat on the Kossuth County Board of Supervisors has officially turned in his nomination papers. Barry Boland submitted his paperwork this week, as he seeks the Republican party nomination for the 4th District Supervisor’s seat. Boland tells KLGA News he’s been concerned with the board’s transparency in recent years.

The 4th District seat is currently held by Republican Kyle Stecker, so Boland says he will be trying to get his message out before the June 2nd primary.

Candidates seeking election to county offices have until March 20th to file the paperwork to be on the primary ballot in June.
