–A Florida man reported minor injuries after his car left the road and struck a guard rail along US Highway 169 near Bancroft late last week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 28-year-old Yordan Alvarez of Lehigh Acres, Florida was traveling northbound on Highway 169 in a 2025 Honda CRV around 5:30 AM on Thursday, June 18th.
The accident report states that Alvarez swerved to avoid a deer in the road and struck a guard rail along the highway 2 miles south of Bancroft. The report indicates that Alvarez was wearing a seatbelt at the time, as he reported minor injuries at the scene and was taken by EMS personnel to Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona.
Damage to his vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
