–The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Algona chapter will host a local candidate forum next week in advance of the June 2nd primary election. Spokesperson Jane Nettleton tells KLGA News they have a moderator who will run the forum next Tuesday at the Algona Public Library.
The forum will feature candidates that are seeking seats on the Kossuth County Board of Supervisors.
Nettleton says anyone who can’t be there in person will be able to hear from the candidates and participate as well.
The forum will be held on Tuesday (April 28th) from 7-8:30 PM at the Algona Public Library and it will be available on the Algona Radio YouTube Live Stream.
Candidates participating include:
Board of Supervisors District #1—Mike Genrich (R) of Lu Verne, Bruce Pfeffer (R) of Wesley, and Lany Mitchell (D) of Wesley
Board of Supervisors District #3—Gary David Miller (R) and Christopher Zinnel (R), both of Algona,
Board of Supervisors District #4—Barry Boland (R) of Swea City and Rodney Beenken (R) of Titonka.
