–The 22nd annual Legacy Ball fundraiser brought in a record total this past weekend to support the Kossuth Regional Health Center Foundation and local healthcare. KRHC Foundation Director Nancy Grandgenett-Besch tells KLGA News that Saturday’s event brought in a record-breaking $100,000 for their endowment fund.

The Honorary Chair for the event was Bob Dotson, who has supported healthcare in Kossuth County for over 50 years. Grandgenett-Besch says this year’s theme aimed to honor the hospital’s 75th anniversary and the foundation’s 35th anniversary.

Grandgenett-Besch says bringing in a record amount at Legacy Ball was part of an increased effort on part of the foundation.

The funds will go towards the foundation’s endowment, which in turn can be used to assist KRHC in any manner necessary.

The Legacy Ball is traditionally held each year on the first Saturday in November, and anyone is welcome to attend the event, become a sponsor, or donate an auction item.
