–The Water’s Edge Nature Center will host their annual Halloween Hike Saturday night out at Smith Lake. Kossuth County Naturalist Billie Willie tells KLGA News the weather should be perfect for anyone who wants to come and enjoy an evening outdoors.
While the event is called the Halloween Hike, Willie says it is by no means scary.
There is no cost to attend the hike, and Willie says they keep things moving through the evening.
Saturday’s weather forecast calls for clear skies and temperatures falling into the lower 50’s, so Willie says make sure and dress appropriately.
The hike begins at 7 PM, as groups will be sent out every 5 minutes or so, with the last group going out at 8:30 PM. Hot apple cider and popcorn will be available that you can enjoy before or after you take the hike. If you have any questions, contact the Nature Center by calling 515-295-2138.
