Bishop Garrigan 1
–Reagan Haynes hit a grand-slam in a 6-run second inning, and Algona added 8 more runs in the 3rd on their way to a 19-1 win over Bishop Garrigan Thursday night. Algona collected 14 hits on the night and took advantage of 11 walks to grab their first win of the season. Allison Trunkhill got the win, allowing 1 hit in 2 innings of work. Katie Trunkhill threw the final 2 innings, allowing a run on 1 hit. Algona (1-0) hosts Iowa Falls-Alden Friday night while Bishop Garrigan (0-2) is also at home taking on Lake Mills.

Okoboji 3
–Shallie Walders homered and drove in 3 runs as North Union grabbed their 2nd win of the season by topping Okoboji 9-3 Thursday night. The Warriors scored in five different innings in support of Ainsley Ulrich, who allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, walking 2 and striking out 15 over 7 innings of work. North Union (2-1) travels to Forest City Friday night.
